Chantal Thorlakson is a professional photographer with a unique style of lowlight and night photography. Chantal is from Yellowknife, Northwest Territoires and currently resides in Sherwood Park, Alberta with her husband and two children. Her business Night Stock Photo markets lowlight and night photographs for advertising and editorial purposes.
Chantal is also an instructor with Metro Continuing Education in Edmonton, Alberta. She teaches Understanding Light, Creative Design, Landscape, Night Photography, Painting with Light, and Marketing. Chantal is an active member of Professional Photographers of Canada, and has been awarded the Craftsman of Photographic Arts. Through PPOC, she has accreditations in Pictorial/Scenic, Nature, Stock, and Night Photography.
Chantal has won awards through the Canadian Association for Photographic Arts, the Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival, and published articles in the Canadian Camera Magazine, and Outdoor Photography Canada, and PhotoEd Magazine.
